I
was sent these pictures in late 2004..
“I'm a soldier deployed in Iraq and recently had a tour of the infamous Abu Ghraib prison. During
Saddam's reign thousands were put to death here. The prison conditions were terrible, overcrowding, food not fit for human
consumption if any at all. I took photos throughout the prison and nothing really out of the ordinary till I got to the execution
chamber and the cell block "death row" just steps from the chamber. In this area I couldn’t take pictures without orbs
appearing. I had only planned on taking 1 pic like I did at other places in the prison but had a very anxious feeling, got
chills and felt drawn to take more. As I continued to take pictures I felt threatened but couldn't immediately pull away.”
