Witchcraft is centred around magick.
Magick is simply put, the use of energy to do certain tasks.
Healing is one of these tasks.
Magick can be used for just about anything. Witches believe that
energy is within everything, plants, animals, us, the stars, everything has energy.
We can channel our energy into the earth and those around us for
the greater good and peace.
However, there is black/dark magick.
Some people abuse magick to harm, or to attain power, which is absolutely
wrong, hence it is called black or dark magick. No witch I have known practices this.
Witches look upon people who harm and use black magick as wrong
and misguided. It is wrong. There is a rule we believe in very much. Whatever we do comes back upon us three or even ten fold.
If we do something bad, it will come back upon us three to ten fold, if we do good, it will come back upon us the same. It
is very similar to the Hindu's rule of Karma. You could also simplify it to "What goes around comes around" -basically
whatever you send out, the intent will come back to you one way or another some time!
Good or bad..
:0)
Magick is a very broad topic, just as Witchcraft is, but the main
idea is the same in all of it.
There are so many things you can do, that anyone can do, if you
simply believe and put intent behind it. We are only limited by what we don't believe in.

References and Resources
.....I am not entirely all-knowledgable about witchcraft, but what
I have learned has come from many sources over the years. If you are interested and looking for more in depth material then
I would highly suggest you pick up some books and start reading.
You can probably find plenty in a good bookshop with
a New Age or Metaphysical section. Or you can check out some wiccan websites -plenty out there !
Children of Artemis is a great site to get started on, as is Witchvox.
Books are widely available on Amazon - in fact everywhere these
days! Try to avoid the less serious books as they are aimed at the mainstream, look for authors like Scott Cunningham, Vivianne
Crowley, Kate West or Marian Green.
You will also learn a lot online by visiting wiccan websites or
any witchcraft oriented search engines dedicated to white magicks ONLY and the old ways - there are a few on my links
pages which are useful for meeting more experienced people who can offer advice or resources.
